Penny is passionate about empowering clients and bringing out the best in their learning. She wants her training to transform the way people approach writing.
In her training role she facilitates workshops, does one-on-one coaching, and supports our online learning library. For Penny the key is connection and helping people gain insights into how they communicate. With her learner-centred focus, she works with clients to improve their plain language writing and communication.
Penny has enjoyed working with adults for over 20 years to achieve their learning goals — teaching English and Italian language. She’s worked and taught in many different countries, and she’s especially proud to have served migrant and refugee communities.
With a background in performing arts, she’s a confident presenter who loves putting people at ease and seeing them thrive.
Penny loves to combine her passions for language, culture, communication, and training with her experience working in business and government.
She’s interested in how to write for your audience. She loves that plain language can help you read something once and understand it straight away.
Penny is committed to social justice and is thrilled to be working in a B Corp organisation that reflects her values. To her, plain language is about accessibility for all and improving the lives of readers.
