Terms of service

These terms of service apply to all products that Write Limited sells in the Shop section of the Write Limited website. When you buy products from this Shop, you agree to these terms.

Authority to buy

To buy from our Shop, you must be 18 years of age or over.

You must agree to these terms. If you are buying on behalf of another organisation or company, you must have their authority to agree to these terms and to buy our products on their behalf.

Payment options and credit card security

We accept three credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. We also accept payment from your PayPal account if you have one.

We process all payments using PayPal’s secure payments system, which is subject to PayPal’s terms and conditions.

Delivery charges

Our prices do not include delivery charges. For delivery, we charge the actual cost of postage and packaging. We do not add a handling or packing fee.

Within New Zealand, delivery charges range from NZ$1.00 to $6.50 depending on the product you order. Outside New Zealand, charges range from NZ$8.50 to $30.00.

The delivery charges are calculated and displayed during the checkout process. Before you submit your order, you will see a summary that shows you:

Delivery times — estimates

Ebooks: You should receive your ebook within a few minutes of completing your order. If your ebook doesn’t arrive within a reasonable time, make sure your email address is correct and check your spam folder before contacting us.

Print books: We aim to send the product you have ordered promptly once we receive your order. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the product you bought will arrive within the estimated delivery time.

We send out orders on weekdays, excluding New Zealand public holidays. We are usually closed for 2 weeks over the Christmas and New Year holiday period.

New Zealand: Approximately 1–2 business days. Delivery to rural or remote areas may take longer.

Rest of the world: Approximately 5–15 business days.

Contact us if your product does not arrive in a reasonable time.

Prices and invoicing

Prices: Our prices are in New Zealand dollars. GST of 15% is included in the price of each product. If you order more than one product, GST is included in the total price.

We reserve the right to change our prices at any time.

Invoicing: We will send your invoice to the email address you supply when you place your order. Please make sure your email address is correct.

Returns and refunds

We comply with the provisions of New Zealand’s Consumer Guarantees Act.

Print books

If your item is damaged: If you receive a print book that is damaged, we will replace it or give you a full refund (including the delivery charge).

We need to see proof of the damage. To show us proof, use one of the following methods:

If you arrange for a signed or courier delivery and your package is damaged when it arrives, you should refuse to accept delivery and contact us immediately.

If you change your mind about buying the print book: If you wish to return an unused and undamaged print book, you must return it to us within 28 days of your purchase. We will refund your total purchase price for the book, but not the amount you paid to return the book.

Ebooks and free downloads

If you have any problem with a digital product, such as an ebook, contact us and we will do our best to help you. We do not give refunds for digital products.

Processing time for returns and refunds

We require 5 business days to process returns and refunds. We require more time over the Christmas and New Year holiday period when we are closed.

Availability and supply of our products

We aim to keep information about the availability of our products up to date, but do not guarantee it will be.

If you order a product and we are unable to deliver it, we may choose to refund your order instead of processing and completing it.

Buyers not allowed to reproduce, resupply, or resell our products

You cannot buy products from our Shop and then reproduce, resupply, or resell them in any way.

Changes to our terms of service

We reserve the right to change these terms of service from time to time. We will notify you by posting the revised terms on our website. The terms on our website at the time of your purchase apply to that purchase.

Governing law and consumer guarantees

The laws of New Zealand govern our Shop.

The Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA) and the Fair Trading Act apply to any purchase you make as an individual. Consumer guarantees for products has information about your rights under the CGA.
